Ziali Sivardeen

Ziali Sivardeen is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon who has treated many high level athletes and sports professionals with shoulder, elbow or knee problems. During the London 2012 Olympics, Mr Sivardeen worked at the state of the art athlete's village and had the honour of being the surgeon who operated on all Olympians and ParaOlympians that required shoulder or elbow surgery during the Games.

Mr. Roger Hackney

Roger Hackney teaches on various post-graduate sports medicine courses. His practice is largely upper limb, managing shoulder instability, impingement and rotator cuff tears. Mr Hackney also has a special interest in sport, trauma, arthroscopic surgery and groin pain in athletes. He invented the Leeds-Kuff Patch which he uses to repair large rotator cuff tears.

Miss Sandra Watson

Sandra Watson has been a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist for five years. Since becoming a consultant, Miss Watson has introduced several new procedures and services, such as the outpatient hysteroscopy clinic, and outpatient treatment for many gynaecological conditions, which previously required a general anaesthetic.

Miss Louise Grant

Louise is a chartered physiotherapist with over 20 years experience, qualifying in 1992 from Bradford School of Physiotherapy. After graduating, Louise worked for 8 years in the NHS progressing to the level of senior physiotherapist in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic specialities. She has worked in private practice and sports physiotherapy since 1998; setting up Physiocure in the year 2000.

Syed Babar is consultant radiologist and lead specialist in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic & rheumatological imaging. Dr Babar is a senior lecturer at Imperial College and also runs private diagnostic and interventional clinics at a number of locations across London. He has expertise in a number of modalities including MRI & ultrasound scanning.

Mr Ian McDermott

Mr Ian McDermott is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising purely in knees. Ian is the founder and Managing Partner of London Sports Orthopaedics. Ian was the youngest ever surgeon to be elected onto the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons, and he is on the Editorial Board and Reviewing Panels of several major orthopaedic journals. Ian is one of the UK’s leading experts in meniscal transplantation and in the field of ‘biological knee replacement’, and he is the President of the UK Biological Knee Society.

Dr Richard Carroll

Richard Carroll is currently consultant interventional cardiologist at Northwest London Hospitals & St Marys Hospital. Dr Carroll has a particular interest in coronary intervention and special techniques of imaging the heart using ultrasound and x-rays. His current research is focused on the molecular mechanisms of myocardial injury and its prevention.

Kaser Nazir is a consultant podiatric surgeon. Mr Nazir has a special interest in sports injuries and also treats professional sport men and women. His specialist surgical interests include bunion and forefoot reconstruction, flat foot reconstructive surgery and tendon repairs including; achilles tendon ruptures, ankle arthroscopy and ankle stabalistaion for loose or unstable ankles prone to twisting injuries.
